Morzine Lifts Are Now Open For The Summer!

Great news! The lifts of Avoriaz in Morzine, are opening for the summer walkers, hikers, runners and bikers! Read on to discover which lifts are opening & when.

What lifts are open and when?

The opening of the lifts is fantastic news but please note, all dates and times are intended openings only, and are subject to change depending on government advise. All lifts in the Avoriaz network will close on 1st September 2020.

Morzine summer ski lift opening

Lifts open From 27th June 2020

  • TC Super-Morzine
  • TSD Zore
  • TSD Séraussaix
  • TSD Lindarets
  • TSD Chaux-Fleurie

Lifts open from 4th July 2020

  • TPH Prodains
  • TSD Mossettes

All the open lifts can be taken up and down except for the TSD Séraussaix, which is ascend only. 


What COVID-19 precautions are in place?

Of course, in light of the coronavirus pandemic, the lift operators have put in place number of precautions to help ensure everyone remains safe while enjoying all the delights this beautiful region has to offer. 

These include:

  • Maintaining social distancing rules while queueing 
  • Leaving chairs empty between passengers or groups of passengers 
  • Mandatory facemasks in cable cars (namely, the Super Morzine and Prodains Express)
  • Wearing facemasks if an empty chair cannot be left between each passenger or group
  • Using sanitising hand gel provided
  • All SERMA staff working in close contact with customers will be wearing masks. You can buy your own face masks at the cash desk for €0.90 each.


What’s new in Morzine this summer?

Despite the lockdown, there have been some exciting developments in Morzine which are ready for you to take full advantage of this summer! These include the brand new S’Cool Zone, a perfect place for beginners to find their feet, some thrilling new developments and additions on the Fourmiz track, and a new link to the Lindarets plateau to help separate those on two feet from those on two wheels.   

Looking ahead to the 20/21 winter ski season?

If you’re looking slightly further ahead to Morzine’s upcoming 2020/2021 winter ski season, there’s great news for you too.   • Supplying once-a-day hand sanitiser that lasts up to 24 hours, even after washing.
  • Daily cleaning by hand to ensure the most hygienic environment possible for the entire duration of your stay. 
  • Your hosts will also be following all advice to help keep you safe.
