Morzine to Les Gets
A beautiful walking route from Morzine to Les Gets where you’ll take in the beautiful summits of Le Pleney and Les Chavannes and have the chance to visit the fascinating Mechanical Music Museum in one of Les Gets’ oldest buildings.
Fox’s path and Nyon’s Waterfall
The Fox’s path at Sentier du Renard is a popular walk for families due to its easy terrain and navigation. You’ll walk through ancient forest as you follow the path next to the Dranse river where signposts will keep you entertained with facts about the local wildlife and surrounding environment. Your efforts will be rewarded with spectacular cascades of Nyon’s waterfall.
Parc des Dérêches in Morzine
This walk begins at the popular Parc des Dérêches, a leisure centre offering swimming pools, a tree top trail, orienteering, horse riding and ice skating plus many more activities to choose from. It follows the river and boasts spectacular views of the mountains and can be as long or short as you wish.
The classic Roc d’Enfer
Beginning at a quaint church in the sleepy hamlet of Graydon, this dramatic and challenging route takes you along mountain ridges with chains for support, has plenty of rock scrambling opportunities and rewards of simply breath-taking views. This is a steep and difficult climb, so ensure you are prepared – it is well worth the effort.
Hikes from St Jean d’Aulps
Just a short drive from Chalet Heavenly is the charming hamlet of St Jean d’Aulps, the beginning of many ‘off the beaten track’ hikes. Before you begin your walk, make sure you explore this gorgeous village as it’s home to a picturesque 11th century Cistercian abbey and the Vallée d'Aulps Discovery Centre. On your chosen walk you’ll discover a mix of unspoilt forest, grassy plains, a beautiful lake and enjoy panoramic views of Mount Blanc and Dents du Midi.
