Chalet Heavenly Cancellation Policy
Amendments or cancellation by Chalet Heavenly
Due to circumstances beyond Chalet Heavenly’s control, it may be necessary to make alterations to a confirmed booking or to cancel the booking altogether. Whilst Chalet Heavenly will make every effort to ensure this does not happen, sometimes it is unavoidable, and we will contact the group leader as soon as possible.
Where your holiday is altered or cancelled by Chalet Heavenly, you will be offered the choice of purchasing an alternative holiday date (if the holiday date is less expensive than the original, we will refund the difference, if it is more expensive, you will pay the difference), or receiving a full refund of all monies you have paid to us. Chalet Heavenly reserves the right to cancel your booking in the case of non-payment or late payment of the balance by the due date with no refund.
We cannot accept responsibility or pay compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented by or affected by events amounting to Force Majeure – meaning acts of war or threat of war, political unrest, terrorist activities, adverse weather conditions, volcanic ash clouds, strikes, acts of God, epidemics, riots, civil strife, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural or technical disasters, nuclear war and or similar events out of our control.
Amendments or cancellation by you
Should you wish to make any changes to your arrangements after they have been confirmed by Chalet Heavenly, you must advise us in writing or email. Whilst Chalet Heavenly will do everything to assist, we cannot guarantee any such requests can be met. Where amendments can be accepted, the following administration charges will apply:-
Change of outward and/or return date of the holiday will be treated as cancellation and re-booking. Please note cancellation charges apply as set out below.
You, or any member of your party, may cancel your holiday at any time providing that the group leader makes the cancellation in writing/email. Chalet Heavenly can take no responsibility for non-delivery or non-receipt of such written cancellation. Cancellation charges will be payable as set out below to compensate Chalet Heavenly for the cost of making your booking and the risk that we may not be able to re-sell your cancelled dates.
- Up to 10 weeks before arrival date - Entire deposit
- 8 – 10 weeks before arrival date - 60% of total booking cost
- 6 – 8 weeks before arrival date - 70% of total booking cost
- 4 – 6 weeks before arrival date - 80% of total booking cost
- Less than 4 weeks before arrival date - 100% of total booking cost
Depending on the reason for your cancellation, you may be able to reclaim some of the cancellation charges (less any applicable excess) under the terms of your insurance policy. Non-receipt of the balance of the cost of the holiday will not be taken as notification of cancellation. Groups will still be liable for cancellation charges as shown above if they subsequently cancel the holiday.
Any cancellation of the booking by you does not constitute cancellation of other third parties such as ski hire, ski lessons etc. You and the group are responsible for cancellation of such services directly with the relevant third parties.
Amendments or cancellation because of Covid-19
If in the unfortunate event that your booking with us needs to be cancelled due to Covid-19, lockdown measures or travel bans, deposits will be 100% refundable.
